Loafing Around

Put on your apron and follow along with Journeyman Bakery's Master Baker, Michael Sellers while being educated on the fine craft of making the dough!

Then while your dough is rising, Michael will teach you how to make the rainbow colored layers and assemble the dough in a pan. While it is rising a second time, he'll present the finished product and take some questions.

A kit of premeasured dry ingredients will be available to pickup from Journeyman Bakery, including:

• bread flour
• yeast
• powdered milk
• salt

 You would need to provide water and some softened butter.
ALSO - FOOD COLORING... some stores sell more advanced color kits, but the standard 4 colors sold in most supermarkets will work! 

PRIZES WILL BE GIVEN!!

When you finish your loaf, you must send a picture in to Peekskill Pride at PeekskillPride@gmail.com and we will have a first, second and third place winner for the best looking bread.

NOTE: Your bread will take about 2 hours and 30 mins from start to finish, so clear your afternoon!
