Presented by Hudson River Healthcare CAPP Team (Comprehensive Adolescent Pregnancy Prevention)

During this presentation the CAPP team will discuss how LGBTQ youth face disproportionate health outcomes as well as Barrier and challenges to accessing healthcare for LGBTQ youth and how communities can be more inclusive and responsive. LGBTQ & teen dating violence will be discussed as well. There will be time for questions and answers. This will surely be an informative event.

Your Presenters:

Genesis Ramos, MPA (Pronouns She/Her/Hers) - Manager of Youth Development & Community Services

Genesis has been with Hudson River Healthcare for four years, and oversees evidence based sexual and reproductive healthcare programming as well as positive youth development programming. She recently graduated with her Master in Public Administration, and has been in the public sector for almost a decade. She has worked with various populations including individuals with developmental disabilities, at risk youth, victims of domestic violence and human trafficking, and individuals living with HIV. She is passionate about equity and serves on several boards in her community.

Erica Agudelo (Pronouns She/Her/Hers)- Health Educator

Erica has been at Hudson River Healthcare for two years and works within the Yonkers Community to support efforts in reducing the risk of pregnancies, STDs, and HIV among youth ages 13-21. She graduated from Mercy College with Bachelors in Biology with Pre-Med Track in hopes to pursue a Master’s degree in Physician Assistant. She is a business owner, and recently launched her own online accessory store. Venus Lliguicota (Pronouns She/Her/Hers)- Health Educator

Venus has been with Hudson River Healthcare for shy of a year. She is a health educator that works closely within the positive youth development aspect of programming. She is an expert in cultural Anthropology with a Masters degree in both Cultural and Biological Anthropology. Outside of Hudson River Healthcare, she enjoys being part of the tech world and designs websites. 

Terrance Raynor (Pronouns He/Him)- Health Educator

Originally from Bronx, NY, Terrance is a graduate of East Carolina University with a Bachelors in Universities Studies. His degree encompasses a focus of Human Health in Diverse Populations. He is the newest health educator of the team focusing on both education and positive youth development programming. He enjoys the outdoors, hiking, kayaking, and fishing.
